You say to push the "dough" into a rectangle and set aside. Then later on you say to drizzle chocolate mixture over the halvah in processor bowl. I'm thinking the "dough" should just stay in a crumbed form in the processor bowl to begin with (waiting on the drizzle step) Or did I misunderstand something? I think pressing in to rectangle only happens once. This sounds wonderful! Can't wait to try it! Hi, Question…. You say to push the “dough” into a rectangle and set aside. I've looked up recipes before but they've always required a candy thermometer for boiling sugar, which I don't have (or want!) Ricki to the rescue, with a recipe I can easily make! They also usually have other ingredients that aren't too healthy, which is why I felt I had to create my own. :) Most store-bought halvahs have both egg whites and honey in them. . . not vegan. Store-bought toasted cashews have icky oils on them, and toasting is so easy--10 minutes or so in a 350F (180C) oven, checking that they don't burn. :) Meg, I always toast the seeds and nuts myself. Nice to know I can make my own. Thanks Ricki, I agree with Arielle and kittee...you deserve the highest praise! Adding this recipe to my Must-Make-List ASAP http://wp.me/P1OnhQ-2h YUM I used to love Halvah when I was younger but these days I don’t care for the commercial stuff.

I have all the ingredients, but would need to toast the sesame seeds and cashews myself. Hmm. This looks amazing.
